In our inaugural year (2023-24), we have one instructor.   However, in the following years, we commit and plan to hiring more instructors.

Zoe Henderson is a multi-disciplinary artist  born and raised in Nanaimo.  In July 2023, after spending 25 years in Toronto working as a full-time drama and music instructor at various schools and community centres in Ontario, she returned to Nanaimo to create Nanaimo Young People's Theatre

Professional work in theatre and drama includes acting, teaching, directing, producing, playwriting, composing, and sound design. She is a full member of the Association of B.C. Drama Educators as well as the Canadian Playwright's Guild.

Her formal education includes a B.A. Honours in Drama from the University of Alberta, as well as certificates in Speech Arts & Drama, Piano, and Singing from the Royal Conservatory of Music.  In addition, she has attended countless workshops over the years  in voice, movement, acting (theatre & film) and playwriting.
