Zoe is a multi-disciplinary artist born and raised in Nanaimo. She returned to the city in July 2023, after spending 25 years in Toronto working as a full-time arts educator (music, drama) at various music schools and community centres in Ontario.

Professional work includes acting, teaching, directing, producing, playwrighting, composing, music arranging, and sound design. She is a full member of both the Association of British Columbia Drama Educators and the Canadian Playwright's Guild.

​

Her formal education includes a B.A. (Honours) in Drama from the University of Alberta as well as advanced certificates from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Speech Arts, Singing, Piano, and Piano Pedagogy. She is also a skilled ukulele player/teacher.

Zoe loves teaching theatre to young people and is committed to building spaces where each child can grow, thrive, develop their voice, and explore their own potential.

Jonathan was born and raised in Nanaimo and joined NYPT in the fall of 2024. He is a graduate of VIU'sActing Diploma and holds a B.A. (Honours) in Theatre from UBC as well as a Masters in Drama Therapy from Concordia University (Montreal).

Jonathan has worked professionally across Canada both on stage and behind the scenes fro 20 years and is currently Artistic Director for Western Edge Theatre in Nanaimo. He taught numerous workshops and acting classes for Snowglobe Theatre (Montreal) and, last year, taught Directed Studies in Drama Therapy at VIU.

Having participated in youth theatre groups as a child himself, Jonathan is thrilled to share his craft and extensive knowledge (as well as its potential for personal growth) with the next generation of thespians.
