Teens

A fun, welcoming acting program where teens can build confidence, creativity, communication skills, and a love for performance.

Several performance opportunites throughout the year.

Through acting games, improvisation, story telling, character and scene work, students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, explore their imagination and discover what makes them unique performers.

Lead by local performer and acting instructor Daleal Monjazeb, the Character Club focuses on learning through play rather than pressure. Students have the opportunity to make mistakes, take creative risks, work together, and express themselves in a supportive environment. Whether your child dreams of becoming an actor or simply wants to become more confident, expressive, and comfortable around others, this little theatre club gives them a place to play, create, and find their voice.

No previous acting experience is required. The Character Club welcomes beginners and young performers alike.

Is The Character Club right for my teen?

Studio 15 is designed for teens --including 12 year olds who identify as teens and prefer to work with an older, more committed group.

Whether your teen is outgoing or shy, brand new to the stage or already has some experience, NYPT's Studio 15 program provides a supportive environment where every students can participate and grow.

Daleal Monjazeb

With an extensive background in theatre and a passion for youth development, Daleal is excited to join NYPT as a teacher. Whether students are brand new to acting or already have performance experience, Daleal works to create an inclusive and inspiring environment where every voice is valued. He is committed to fostering a safe, respectful space where students can take creative risks, build confidence, and learn the importance of collaboration and teamwork.
